What Cleaning Method and Solutions does Capri use? Capri uses the most powerful, safe and effective method of Steam Cleaning possible. Steam cleaning is notoriously preferred in the carpet care industry, because of its ability to penetrate carpet fibers deeply, unlike, for example the popular "dry chemical cleaning" approach, which is more of a surface-cleaning method. With the method of steam cleaning Capri uses, "ghost stains" are less likely to re-appear after cleaning. This is because stains are removed from deep within the carpet, not just from the surface level. Capri first treats carpet with a pre-treatment solution, then Capri’s heavy duty truck-mounted steam cleaning machines work by injecting hot steam deep into the carpet fibers, and extracting dirt as well as cleaning solution residue and moisture. There is no need to worry about over-wetting or shrinkage. Capri’s primary cleaning solution is a non-toxic citrus-based compound, which is not only extremely effective for cleaning, but it is safe enough for pets and babies to crawl on right after cleaning! Since almost all moisture is extracted immediately, carpets are completely dry in hours. Upholstery is cleaned by either steam cleaning or dry cleaning, depending upon fabric content. Following cleaning, it is recommended that a Du Pont Teflon carpet or fabric protectant is applied to help reduce future staining and re-soiling.

Can Capri Really Remove Tough Stains? Quite simply, in most cases, yes. Capri utilizes powerful, yet safe solutions to remove many stubborn stains including (but not limited to):

  • Pet Stains and Odors
  • Red Stains (popsicles, jello, red food coloring, etc.)
  • Coffee and Tea Stains
  • Plant Stains
  • Blood
  • Vomit
  • Grease
  • Rust
